Food for thought:
"Amid the din of economic nonsense being bandied about since the collapse of the housing bubble and the steep ramping up of our national debt there has been the persistent refrain that Washington should be “run more like a business”. If only more businesspeople were in charge to wield their business acumen, we would have this country in shape in no time. But is that a good solution? Businesses seek primarily to increase their revenues and profits; government revenues depend on taxes. Government accumulates tax money by squeezing it out of people’s productive earnings with threats of audits, fines and imprisonment. Our government already collects roughly $2.1 trillion annually from the productive taxpayers of America. We hardly need to increase our federal government’s revenues like a private business." - Ron Paul

Your man Ron Paul fell flat on his face last night.
In the specticial last night called a debate was a joke. The gang up against Cain as a top candidate was led by three sinking contenders who must know that they will never be president Rick Santorum, Michele Bachmann and Ron Paul.
I think Herman Cain is the best candidate for these times. Herman Cain would destroy Obama.
And here's the proof of the pudding.
Herman Cain took the lead in the national polls with 27 percent. Mitt Romney got 23 percent, and Rick Perry got 16 percent. In the same poll. Of the second-tier candidates, Ron Paul gets 11 percent, Newt Gingrich gets 8 percent, Michele Bachmann gets 5 percent. So run with that.
Yes, in an era of fiat money where the Federal Reserve Bank created tens of Trillions of dollars and loaned it, without oversight, to a plethora of institutions (many of whom are foreign) we need a former Federal Reserve member for president.
Were that not enough, we should probably add a sales tax too without repealing the income tax.
Cain isn't going anywhere. His lack of fundraising is a testament to this.
Further, it doesn't really matter to myself or any of other Ron Paul supporters if he wins or not. His predictions are spot on and will continue to be.
When all the other candidates drop out one by one their supporters will latch on to the next establishment pick until that candidate drops out.
And when the last establishmentarian is left standing and wins or loses, their supporters will simply go back to watching their propaganda on FOX, carting their children to the state run schools, supporting the tired/overburdened troops occupying foreign lands, running up credit card debt for items they neither need or can afford, etc.
Meanwhile, the Ron Paul supporters will continue, as they have for the past 4 years, growing their network of liberty minded people. These individuals will barter for goods and services, buy silver/gold/ammo/ and other items of value, grow their own food, hive bees, acquire their firearm carry permits and encourage others to do the same, set up weekly meetup groups where others can learn about history and Austrian economics among other subjects, start voluntary homeschooling co-ops/networks, learn about ham radios and establish other private communication networks, etc.
The goal; or cause that we strive for is expanding liberty. To grow and expand liberty doesn't require a leader. It merely requires more individuals to exercise it.
