Isn't there room for Godwin's Law there?

Couple things; from what I understand in competitive
debate, like school teams etc, the debators have to be prepared to successfully debate either side of an issue (which seems would remove personal opinion from the situation). Secondly, in
searching for other debate
rule charts, I caught a virus which has me desperately seeking my blogger profile..:(

Well, I Finally Realized that I could Click on the Picture, but Reviewing the Flow Chart while Listening to your Music was Torture. It's not my Type of Music and there was no Way to Turn it Off while Viewing the Flow Chart, but Here is my Response...

"Can you envision anything that will chage your Mind on this Topic?"

We Usually can't Envision what will Change our Mind, but that doesn't Mean that it can't Happen and this also Goes Both Ways, you know.

"If One of your Arguments is shown to be Faulty..."

Faulty, According to Whom? We may disagree on whether or not it has been shown to be Faulty and therefore on rather or not I have Broken such a Promise if I was to Make it.

Also, You may have Different Opinions on whether or not I am Abiding by Principles of Reason, whether or not a Position is more Realistic, whether the Evidence Offered is Significant or even Adequate, etc. If you are the Referee on these Matters, then the Discussion will be Biased and it will not Really be a Discussion.

"Do not Introduce New Arguments while another Argument has yet to be Resolved."

According to Whom?

"Do not Move on to Another Argument if it is Shown that a Fact you have Relied Upon is Inaccurate."

According to Whom?

Don't you See? All of this is Subjective and if you are the Referee, then this is Still not a Discussion. I will Complain all that I want to and not Allow you to Set the Conditions Relating to such. If you wish to Discontinue a Discussion, then all you have to do is Stop Talking, but that does not in any way Mean that you have Won the Debate. It Only Means that your Position will not be Heard by anyone on the Web Page in Question.

BTW, I Liked BB's Comment showing how Opinion doesn't Matter anyway.

Also, in Reality, we can Learn Things that Change Our Minds in Minor Ways without Actually Changing Our Entire View on a Matter, but that has more to do with Gray then Black and White, so I don't Really Expect you to Understand.

One more Thought. If you Choose to End a Discussion, that in no Way Proves that I have Broken One of your Very Subjective Rules.

Forgive me, but I just Smell a Rat in the Above set of Rules. If you are the Referee, then there is no way that the Judgments will be Fair.

I don't Know if you are going to Eventually Respond to me or not. I just Wanted to say that these Rules Are Really not so Bad and In Fact, are Actually Quite Good, as Long as a Couple more Rules can be Added.

5.) Do not Accuse Based on your Own Subjective Opinion about your Opponent's Ability to Reason.

And

6.)These Rules do Need to Apply to all Parties and not just to your Opponent.
