The Yanks and Capitalism

I'm not a big baseball fan. I'll watch a game here and there more as an excuse to get out of the house and drink beer with the guys. And so it goes with this ALDS matchup between the Yanks and the Minnesota Twins. I'm not gonna get sucked in like a sheep. It's still fucked that we subsidized a stadium for them and even more so that we subsidized a stadium for them and they still can't manage to get past the first round of the playoffs vs the Yanks. The baseball freaks piss and moan about the lack of a salary cap but the reality is that anyone could spend that kinda cash for the power hitters if they wanted. It's Capitalism at work and the money is merely a byproduct of the productivity. Game 3 tonight and I'm certain that those money greedy capitalistic Yanks are bringin' the big hitters. A sweep indeed and here I just bought a new push broom today.
