It isn't with any level of frequency that we have an opportunity to vet or question a legislator. Unfortunately, such opportunities are rare. That having been said, it is paramount that when an instance presents itself, we make the most of it. Myself and a number of the MN for Liberty gang were contemplating in what manner we might be able to propose a question to a legislator that would not permit them to skirt responding to the inquiry (something they are want to do) or at the very least would put them into the fire regardless of how they responded.
We believe we've found the key and we urge you to employ a similar strategy.
Here's an example:
[On the healthcare mandate bill] "Did you read the entire bill prior to casting your vote on it?" (obviously a "no" response is not good here so naturally a yes response would likely be forthcoming)
At the urging of your constituency, will you submit to a test designed to measure your comprehension of the bill which you've now stated you have read?
Sit back and watch your legislator(s) squirm.
