Soap if I read you correctly you support Wikileaks. I don't, they endanger our men and women in uniform and for the NY Times to pick up the story is typical. When they're not writing glowing reviews of the abortion industry they gladly print stuff that may endanger our servicemen and women and expect to pick up a Pulitzer for their efforts. There is plenty of time to debate the wisdom of the Afghan war after it is concluded.

Your argument Z is indeed a good one and one which the Pentagon and others are making. Let us remember however that there is another story about the Wikileaks matter which is this:
When innocent civilians are targeted, and war conduct and foreign policy decisions are implemented, the American people themselves are too at risk. It's not something that the talking heads over at FOX would ever think to ask and in fact it has been deemed something of a cardinal sin. Ron Paul asked it and continues to ask it. "Why do they hate us?" Some of it does probably stem from a perception that American culture/behavior is immoral and I'll concede that point. However, part of it surely does relate to our foreign policy decisions.
It is those foreign policy positions which put American civilians in harm each and every day.
