There's a real disinterest with me when it comes to blogging. It isn't as if I've nothing to say or am struggling with subject matter, it's really about the complete and utter lack of intellect out there in the blogosphere. It's become much too juvenile and childish.
Rather than think about issues and discuss, debate, or converse about the intracacies of policy, the masses would much rather regurgitate the generalities, platitudes and idiotic soundbites they hear from the pundits. They'd rather spend their time crafting ridiculous nicknames for their political foes than they would on establishing any sort of moral base or employing any sort of objectivity.
Seriously....

I try not to do that but sometimes I do find myself doing it as well. My resolution to myself is to try my best to not get caught up in that. I don't blame you for being frustrated by it all.
My thing about blogging is sometimes you go to post a new blog with enthusiasm, you really think you have a classic on your hands and then hardly anyone comments and this usually seems to happen to me when the subject matter ain't political which ties into what you're saying. People seem to thrive on conflict and I usually hiatus myself when I've had enough (geez I can feel another one coming).
It's not so much about the number of comments with me as it is the depth of the ensuing discussion but I hear ya...
I've even had to mine the TAOist blogosphere of late to get into some things. Trouble is my free time doesn't seem to coincide with others' free time and as it is now I'm kinda bored with it all myself and going home.
