Skewering Diversity
"...It's a progressive caucus..83 members of the Congress, and members of the Hispanic caucus, Black caucus, and Asian caucus. So, we had a very diverse group of the left..."
That is Minneapolis Congressional Representative Keith Ellison. You just heard Representative Ellison give you his vision of diversity. It is a diversity not based upon any ideology or beliefs but rather one that exists based upon racial or ethnic boundaries.
By Representative Ellison's own admission there was little, if any, pursuit for any sort of diversity based on ideas. Instead it was a caucus of individuals representing as many different races and/or ethnicities.
Certainly my friends you do not need me to remind you how antithetical representative Ellison's vision of diversity is from those of a man who knew that real diversity and civil justice transcended skin color.
"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character." - Martin Luther King, Jr.

Ah diversity of ideas, well put soapie! that's in short supply right now. Glenn Beck can't even criticize Van Jones without being called a racist.
Somehow those on the left truly believe that their views alone can hold all the diversity, amazing isn't it?
Excellent blog my good man. Keep it going.
Somehow those on the left truly believe that they can do no wrong!
