A Journey to Die for
Remember this?
That little guy is Elian Gonzalez then.
And, this is Elian Gonzalez today delivering a speech during an event marking the 80th anniversary of the birth of the Cuban National hero, Argentinean Ernesto 'Che' Guevara in Havana, Saturday, June 14, 2008 upon joining Cuba's Young Communist Union.
At the point in Elian's life when reason and logic are acquired (this to say they are) my best hope is that he reflects back on his short lived journey to America; a journey towards a destination so highly sought after that his mother would subsequently risk her own life to make.

How can I ever forget that picture, it was during the wonderful Clinton years. The whole thing reminded me of some bad episode of COPS, you know where some swat team has some poor drunkard on the ground. They talk about Bush and impeaching him and all but who was worse for civil liberties? it's a no-brainer.
You can kind of overlook Elian but what's up with Americans who wear Che Guevarra t-shirts? Love Cuba that much go live there.
I saw one at Target believe it or not.
Ah, propaganda!
Well Target is a Commie supporter, their store color is RED after all!
