I've had this song in my head.....

It happens to almost all of us. You know..you get a song in your head that overextends its stay.

In fact, I used to joke around that a great superhero character could be this guy that overcomes his nemisis simply by getting a song stuck into his head. Thereby stupefying him into a sort of catatonic state where he literally stands there cycling the song over and over until the superhero can save the citizens of the city.

The song of the day you ask??

Glass Onion by The Beatles

I told you about strawberry fields
You know the place where nothing is real
Well here's another place you can go
Where everything flows.
Looking through the bent backed tulips
To see how the other half lives
Looking through a glass onion.

I told you about the walrus and me-man
You know that we're as close as can be-man
Well here's another clue for you all
The walrus was Paul.
Standing on the cast iron shore-yeah
Lady Madonna trying to make ends meet-yeah
Looking through a glass onion.

I told you about the fool on the hill
I tell you man he's living there still
Well here's another place you can be
Listen to me.
Fixing a hole in the ocean
Trying to make a dove-tail joint-yeah
Looking through a glass onion.

I like your story about the nemesis stupefied by a repetitive song. Cute!!

Thanks. If only I could draw. I'd have no doubt made millions.

It's hard to make money in the arts. I can sing and I can write, but neither one of these things have made me rich.

Well there definitely is money to be made in song writing if you're good.

That's the problem with the arts. Good is usually not good enough. The ones who make it are not only good, but exceptional. As to drawing, I guess there is money to be made in the film industry, but than again, you said you can't draw. Oh well.

Your profile says you're into law. There's definitely money in that. I bet your not really at that broke.

I'm not a lawyer. I am a litigation support specialist. I facilitate the bridge between paper and electronic data (might explain my affinity towards data and facts in general).

It's a good job and a growing field. As for whether or not I'm broke....

I own a home, have no credit card debt, have an above average credit rating, a 401(k), and some money in savings.

I'm not broke but then I'm not excessively wealthy either (not yet anyway).

It is strange how songs get stuck in my head, usually it's the last song I heard that gets stuck for a while after hearing it, but then sometimes out of the blue, a song I haven't heard for a long time pops in there.

Been lisening to the Beatles lately?

As for your wealth, I know you possess a great wealth of knowledge, and that my friend will take you very far.

Soapbox,
Sounds like you're comfortable. That's actually all that matters.

Beth,
I like your comment about "a great wealth of knowledge"..."will take you far." Amen!

Nice chatting with you guys. Got to run now.

Wealth of knowledge...Hmmm I like that!

And yes, I have been listening to the Beatles lately. They're one of those bands that will always have a spot on the playlist.

Plus there is always Beatles bumper Friday on the Jason Lewis show!

This is true. Except for that one Friday when he did a Barry Manalow Friday (he was coming in concert or something).

Needless to say, that went over like a lead balloon. LOL

Shania Twain's "I Feel Like a Woman" has been going through my head since I heard it on the radio yesterday, lol.

I suppose that one probably doesn't get stuck in your head, Soapster, huh?

TGIF!

Uh..no.

Although, continuing the country theme, I have two country songs stuck in my head lately.

Hank Williams Jr. - Country Boy Can survive

and

Johnny Cash - God's gonna cut you down
