I've never been a fan of Ann Coulter. It is for much of the same reason I am not a fan of Sean Hannity. And, that is they are nothing more to me than Republican cheerleaders. The both of them utilize a tactic called deflection. They ramble on and on about Democrats this and Democrats that all the while they've got this false notion that modern day Republicanism is somehow both vastly different and therefore vastly superior.
Case in point, Ann's latest book is called "If Democrats had any brains they'd be Republicans." Hmmm....really...so if they had a brain they'd be a Republican. Okay...and what exactly could we come to expect then? A modern day Republican like Arnold Schwarzeneger, Orin Hatch, Charles Grassley or Tim Pawlenty. Or, would they be of the true conservatives like Ron Paul, Michelle Bachman, etc????
Because you see my friends, there is a stark contrast between the two. And people like Ann and her boy toy Sean Hannity are so caught up in the tactic of deflection that they're apparently oblivious to the fact that Republican party members are selling the party down the river. Their's is a false assumption that isn't doing a damn thing for the cause of the Republican party. And, I should point out that THAT [promoting the cause and chastising RINOs in the party] ought to serve as a much higher priority than bashing Democrats for the very things we've come to expect (raising taxes, redistributing wealth, growing government, et al.).
So, with that said, I urge you to go here http://www.ktlkfm.com/cc-common/podcast/single_podcast.html?podcast=jasonlewis.xml
(listen or download the 10/16 - 6pm podcast) and listen to a true conservative, who gets it, serve it up to blondie (who apparently is still not getting it).

I'm on Ann's side.
We (the republicans) have been slapped around long enough.
I'ts far time that we struck back.
taking the high road just don't cut it.
Granted, to Ann's credit, she's not running for higher office. However, her abrasiveness is not how you effectively sell the party's message. It's proven effective at selling her books but it hasn't done a thing to sell the party to moderates.
You sell the party to potential voters with ideas. It's a strategy which is quite effective in politics and has been quite effective from FDR, to JFK to Reagan.
I agree, we need another great communicator, and you attract more flies to honey than vinegar.
We will not win the hearts and minds of people with someone like Coulter.
I agree Soapie. I like reading Ann, she is funny- but I don't take her seriously. She doesn't mold my opinions. Ditto on Hannity.
Glad to hear it Daniel. We should all be able to formulate our own opinions without having to adopt them.
